Announcing Big Texas Beer Fest 2014 in April
The Big Texas Beer Fest returns to Dallas’ Fair Park on April 5th after two highly successful events in 2012 and 2013. Named as Dallas Observer’s best beer festival two years in a row, and drawing more than 5,000 attendees last year, the event will be held in same location in Fair Park’s Automobile Building. This year’s event intends to attract nearly 100 breweries, believed to be the most of any Texas beer festival, including over 25 breweries from the state of Texas.
New for this year’s event will be a central merchandise booth, where festival attendees can purchase brewery merchandise from over 25 different breweries. Next year they hope to add a legitimate beer judging competition, much like you would see at the annual Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado.
The festival hours are 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM with the VIP session starting at 1:00 PM. Parking will be available at Fair Park for $10, but it is recommended that people use the DART rail. DART has a stop on the Green Line at Fair Park, dropping attendees just feet from the venue.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now at www.bigtexasbeerfest.com. While VIP tickets sold out several weeks ago, general admission tickets are still available for $35. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local charity, the North Texas Food Bank.
