Texas Veggie Fair: Eat Your Veggies & Drink Craft Brew with Erykah Badu This Sunday Oct. 20th
Vegans and vegetarians,  as well as carnivores, will gather this upcoming Sunday, October 20th,  from 11am to 6pm in Reverchon Park for the 4th Annual Texas Veggie Fair to celebrate all things plant-based, eco and compassion for animals.  Among other speakers, Grammy-Award winner Erykah Badu will be the keynote.
A practicing vegan herself, Badu will close out the performance stage sharing notes from her journey towards a vegan lifestyle then perform a DJ set.
Veg Heads don’t have a problem with liquid bread and barley. According to the news release, they will have a beer garden this year. This  beer garden will operated by Trinity Hall, a popular Irish pub at Mockingbird Station, and will offer an array of local craft brews.
The fair will be held in Reverchon Park, a 46-acre facility in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, at the corner of Maple Avenue and Turtle Creek Boulevard that’s accessible by car, bus, DART, and bicycle.
Other highlights include speakers such as animal rights activist Carol Adams, author of the ground-breaking 1990 book The Sexual Politics of Meat; and popular plant-based personality Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram, founder of FullyRaw.com. Kristina also runs the largest raw, organic produce co-operative in the U.S.
The fair will have an expanded kids’ area, a new green program overseen by Dallas-based Recycle Revolution, and lots of vegan vendors, including iconic restaurants such as Spiral Diner and local food trucks such as Good Karma Kitchen.
