Cottonwood Art Festival, which is held twice a year and features works from the nation’s top visual artists, will take place May 4th 10am – 7pm and May 5th 10am – 6pm.

Located in scenic Cottonwood Park in Richardson, the Cottonwood Art Festival is a juried show that has been held over the last 40 years. Jurors will select over 240 artists to out of 1,400 entries to exhibit their museum-quality work to be featured at the art festival. The artists compete in 14 categories: 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Digital, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalwork, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Wood.

There’s is something for everyone at the art festival including families and kids. Families can visit ArtStop, Cottonwood Art Festival’s hands-on, interactive children’s area offering arts, crafts and activities for children of all ages. Although admission to the festival is free, some ArtStop activities require 1-4 tickets at $1 each, available at the event.
