TYSO to Raise Scholarship Funds with “Back to Bayside” 90’s Party

The Texas Youth Scholarship Organization is back to deliver another radical party to you havers of fun. This year’s theme is Back to Bayside, so come dressed in your neatest 90’s gear and be ready to party like it’s 1996!

To keep things interesting, they will be invading the South Side Music Hall this year with music, food & beverages, irony and fun all included in your ticket ($55). As always, all proceeds go to benefit local disadvantaged youth through scholarship awards.

All indications are that it will be a Full House, so be sure to take care of all of your Family Matters before party time: Saturday, August 25th at 8pm.

Special guests may include: Topanga, Ninja Turtles, Max, Clarissa, Pete or Pete, Blossom, Dillon McKay, Stefan Urkelle, Jazz, The White Ranger (so rad), or Stephanie Tanner.

A will call table will be set up the night of the event, so please arrive with some form of identification. All guests must be 21 years or older to attend. For more information, check out the official website.

About TYSO

Texas Youth Scholarship Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to furthering the education of disadvantaged youth living in Texas through various fundraising efforts.

Their goal is to address the financial burden many youth face in attaining undergraduate degrees from a four-year university or college.

The Board members consist of Dallas-area young professionals who, through their own volunteering, understand that the need for scholarships far exceeds the current supply of funds.

Through fundraising events, partnerships with like-minded organizations, and the utilization of both social and traditional media, TYSO hopes to increase awareness and interest. 100% of all money raised is allocated towards providing scholarships for disadvantaged Texas senior high school students.

The Scholarship Process:

  • TYSO partners with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas, utilizing its applicant pool to determine which Senior will be awarded a scholarship.
  • TYSO conducts its own review process based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community involvement, demonstrated leadership abilities, financial need and hardships.
  • The process itself includes application reviews, in-person interviews and reference checks.
  • After they make their selection, they award their scholarship and initiate a relationship with their awardee.
